いす【椅子】

1 〔腰掛け〕 a seat; a chair; (背もたれのない) a stool; (ピアノの) a piano stool; (オーケストラ奏者の) a music stool; (ベンチ) a bench.

●椅子から立ち上がる get up [《文》 rise] (from a chair [seat]); get out of 《an armchair》; leave a chair [seat]; get off a chair [stool]; 〔小さい子供などが〕 get down (from a chair)

・椅子から飛び上がる jump up from [out of] one's chair; leap from [out of] one's chair
